#106322 Sterling Coilmaster III – In-line Plastic Coil Binding Machine
The
Sterling Coilmaster III
is a
complete, in-line plastic coil binding machine
designed for high-speed, heavy-duty production. It combines the
Sterling Coilmaker
(plastic coil former) with the
Coilmaster III inserter
to form and insert plastic coils automatically
Key Features & Capabilities
Speed:
Up to
700 books per hour
(BPH) with one operator
Coil Formation:
Plastic filament is fed from a spool into the Coilmaker, where it’s formed into a uniform coil on a mandrel. The Coilmaker uses
three axles
pressing against the mandrel, producing a more uniform, round coil than two-axle formers
Coil Insertion:
The formed coil is automatically fed into the Coilmaster® III inserter, which spins it into the book from the
first hole onwards
. The coil is then
cut and crimped automatically
Book Size Range:
Standard:
0.31" (8 mm) to 1.25" (32 mm) coil diameter.
Optional thick book attachment:
up to 1.96" (50 mm) diameter.
Book dimensions:
as small as 4" x 4" (10.16 cm x 10.16 cm) up to 12" x 17" (30.48 cm x 43.18 cm)
Binding Flexibility:
Spiral bind books with
round or oval holes
.
Bind with
any pitch
.
Handles
head and foot margins
up to 3/16" (4.7 mm) with a patented spreading device.
Can center the hole pattern on odd-sized sheets
Applications:
Calendars, reports, art pads, and other specialty books
